1st of all I have no clue if this is the right title....? oh well *sighs*

One of my 1st landscape speedpaints It probably took 3 or 4 hours.... I look at this now and I think it is really really ugly.

Anyway I got my inspiration from a movie I just watched a movie called "Neverland" (you can see it on youtube here [link] this part at 7:01 it is very sad because you only see it for a few seconds. I didn't do the fairies justice :( *crys & runs to hide from fairies*

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :Spoilers: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

well what the picture is of is the tree spirit colony after it has burned down.......I pretty much gave away A TON of neverland... I am sorry

I had to do this because I thought that ancient fairy ruins were really original and so cool so i just had to make it not so original :( I just cant make fairies happy I am sorry

more spoilers...

In neverland I have no clue if the fairies live in trees or color bright towers but in this its sort of trees

Anyway i highly recommend the movie... it is very long but good and it has good sencery which I might to more of soon

It was done all in CS5 ... i guess I like to do backgrounds is photoshop and people in SAI *shrugs* at least I can use both

oh and I did 99% on just 1 layer I am so happy... they other 2% was 2 other layers which made minor changes to the color on Overlay

okey dokey, have been thinking on this one for a while. It looks great! I love the more morbid-but-has-hope kind of feeling you seem to be portraying here.... almost like the light at the end of the tunnel (not to be completely cliche, but that's what it reminds me of). I have never seen Neverland, however, it does remind me a little of Mordor in Lord of the Rings.

The burned land seems like a great place to hide for the hunters or the hunted, and it just has a whole feeling of mystery about it (while still, of course, keeping the more dark theme).

What's more impressive then the drawing itself (while it is still very nice) is the fact you did this on one layer. I don't think I have ever done something on one layer before, although 2 layers is difficult in itself as well. When I do work, it usually is on 20-60 layers total, I always lose track after 10 or so.

This drawing has also made me want to see the movie, so I will have to get around to that (in the non-existant free time I have) but all in all this drawing/painting is very well done, and I love the strength of the values.

Very well done :)
